The GDCO has reached a pivotal junction in its history. We are seeking to modernise the facilities, grow capacity and strengthen our capability to secure our position as the go-to science attraction in Australia.

Our History.
The Gravity Discovery Centre Foundation was incorporated in 2001 (under the Associations Incorporation Act 1987), and the public education/visitor centre (Gravity Discovery Centre) opened in 2004. The Objects of the Foundation are to promote, encourage and provide appropriate opportunities for the education of the general community in aspects of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics with particular emphasis on gravity, astrophysics, cosmology and their relation to art, culture, aboriginal spirituality, and the environment
Our Future.
At a healthy 21 years old, the GDC has a strong brand and presence so the strategy will including retaining the current brand position whilst expanding to a “Space & Gravity Discovery Centre”.
The revision of exhibits, reformatting of the center and increased focus on technology careers inspired by the full space sector supply chain. Western Australia is leading the world in many digital technologies that will continue to power the State’s future.The Centre is perfectly positioned to inspire science and STEM through space and universe education. Along side this we will align the ancient traditional culture further building on its position as the world’s prime tourist destination for the Aboriginal view of the Universe, a unique and rewarding experience for young and old.
